Since we launched our new Allergy Nasal Filter we have had so many questions about how it works, how to use it, and how effective it is. Although the Hay Fever season was delayed this year due to bad weather, the pollen levels are gradually beginning to rise, and we have had an influx of orders & queries about the Allergy Filter.
We decided to write a post on the frequently asked questions that we have received on the Allergy Nasal Filter, in case you wanted to know a little more about it!
1.What is an Allergy Nasal Filter?
Our Allergy Nasal Filter is a comfortable filter which is placed inside the nose. It blocks up to 98% of pollen, dust, pet dander and mould from entering the nose. It is made from a soft, movable, gel material, placed inside the nose, with a bridge that sits outside the nose preventing it going up the nasal passages, so it’s perfectly safe.
2. How discreet is the filter & is it comfortable?
It’s very discreet, with the bridge being the only part that is somewhat visible.
The filter device is very soft & movable. It has been continuously improved to ensure maximum comfort for the wearer.
3. Who can use it?
People who suffer with hay fever or pollen allergies, during seasonal months. It can be used all-year round for people allergic to dust, pet dander & mould. As it’s drug-free it’s a great alternative to allergy medication. It is perfectly safe to use during pregnancy.
4. Can children use the filter?
We recommend it for children aged 12 and up.
5. How long does each filter last & can I wash it?
Each filter can be used up to 4 times once care is taken inserting, removing & rinsing. To rinse, use lukewarm water, rinse, and place back in the tray. Keep it a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight.
6. Does it actually work?
We know that we’re a little biased on this one, but yes, it actually works. We have had countless people get in touch to say how effective they find the allergy filter. Elisha, in our office is an allergy sufferer herself, and for years has used medication, she now wears the filter on high pollen days & whenever she visits her home in Mayo and she is very happily allergy-free!
7. How do I know what size I should use?
We have a size guide on each product page, but we know this can be a little tricky! To help you with sizing, we have a size guide below with pictures of actual noses, and the sizes suitable to them.
